Our Curriculum
At Padbury Church of England School, we believe every child is unique, valued and capable of achieving great things. We have carefully designed a curriculum that nurtures a love of learning, inspires curiosity and enables every child to flourish academically, socially and emotionally. We want our children to enjoy their learning, feel happy and safe, and develop the confidence to be themselves.
At the heart of our school is a strong sense of family and community. We know our children well and take pride in creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed, respected and supported. Our curriculum is meaningful, engaging and relevant, helping children make connections between their learning and the world around them while developing the knowledge, skills and understanding they need for the future.
We are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of their starting point, is given opportunities to succeed and shine. Through a wide range of enriching experiences, we encourage children to be curious, creative and ambitious learners who are willing to take risks, embrace challenges and learn from their mistakes. We celebrate individuality and help children recognise their strengths, while developing resilience, independence and a belief in their own potential.
Guided by our Christian values, our PSHE curriculum and collective worship, we encourage children to show kindness, compassion and respect for others. We help them to understand and appreciate diversity, value different perspectives and recognise the important role they play in making a positive contribution to their school, community and wider world.
We value the close partnerships we share with parents, families, governors and the wider community, recognising that children thrive when we work together. These relationships enrich our curriculum and strengthen the sense of belonging that makes Padbury such a special place to learn and grow.
Our aspiration is that every child leaves Padbury Church of England School with happy memories, a strong sense of self-worth, a love of learning and the confidence to embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Above all, we want them to leave knowing they are valued, capable and ready to make a positive difference in the world.
